Yeah I don't think it's airborne like measles or covid (and that's what all the public health sources stress), but it also seems too dismissive to tell people they need physical contact for infection because if the virus is active in saliva and that person coughs hard or sneezes, then it only makes sense that inhaling those particles could infect a person too. Or even just getting those droplets on your lip or in your eyes. So no it's not 'airborne' in the strictest sense, but masking in crowded places with lots of international travelers like airports and planes seems like a good idea.

Apparently, a number of people want to deprive those at risk of care, while healthcare workers repatriated to Europe and the U.S. are provided with protective gear against aerosol transmission.

Everything you take the Trump administration to task for is so right. I just can't stop thinking about how their isolationist policies are exactly what's putting the US itself at risk at all. I wish they would care to understand at least that (no point in wishing anything else - the crimes against humanity are a bonus to them).
So...instead of advocating for better protection for people exposed to a life-threatening danger, you are helping to reject the precautionary principle while accusing those who call for better protection of being counterproductive and of blaming frontline healthcare workers (which is not the case, so it is a false accusation), all while pointing the finger at Trump so that we ignore the responsibility of the WHO and experts like yourself?
