I wasn’t planning on doing this today but this morning’s House Energy and Commerce hearing was both wild and also, unfortunately, not bad for avowed morbillivirus enthusiast and certified psychopathic weirdo Secretary Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. Kennedy lied like crazy and I’m trying to crank out a quick piece about it but, as usual, it’s turning into a doorstop. I was shouting at my computer enough that I figured I should chime in for Senate Appropriations.
Unfortunately I accidentally tuned into the wrong Appropriations subcommittee so we watched the opening statements of the Congressional Budget Office, Government Publication Office, and Government Accountability Office. Oops! At least I had fun flexing about my academic performance in high school government class. I figured it out once I recognized how boring, accurate, and budget-oriented it seemed. Join me and Jess at 6 pm ET to hear about it!
Making Science Make Sense and I will be doing LIVE play by play tomorrow for the grand finale of the Health Labor Education and Pensions (HELP) Committee. We’ve got MAHA Brainworm Budget Bingo and we’ll be recapping after. The fun starts at 2 pm ET right here on April 22nd, 2026!
Thank you Eric Lullove (who was too busy being professionally into feet to join me), cmdr cool, Deborah J., Marg KJ, Tired of BS, and many others for tuning into this impromptu effort to torture myself. Join us at 6 pm ET tonight for a short recap!
