Wow, it’s been a year already? It feels like just yesterday that I wasn’t yet worried that the clock was ticking on measles elimination status, or that our entire federal scientific and public health enterprise was gutted to the point of complete non-functionality, or that our pandemic response was going to be “cancel virology, drink whole milk, and avoid vaccines.” It’s all good, we are on the Danish vaccination schedule! I wonder what will happen if we violate Danish sovereignty?
Join me and my fantastic co-host Jeremy Faust, MD of Inside Medicine for what I hope will be a highly informative, albeit depressing, year in review:
Gigi Gronvall (biosecurity and health security expert): threats to or caused by changes to health and science policy
Noam Ross (grant-witness.us): the cause and consequences of cuts to NIH
Paul Offit (pediatrician, inventor of the rotavirus vaccine, author of the excellent Beyond the Noise Substack): the destruction of vaccination
Demetre Daskalakis (former director of the CDC National Center for Immunization and Respiratory Diseases): the destruction of vaccination
