To be effective at that, my job required me to explain to juries what lethal pathogens were and the dangers they pose to ordinary people. I used pictures and vivid descriptions to make my points.
No one involved in the litigation ever gave a damn where the pathogens came from, for that issue was presumed by all to be a mere distraction from the primary objective, prevention of epidemics (or pandemics) through the transmission of bacterial and viral pathogens that can (and do) kill us and the deleterious effects of doing nothing to stop them.
The discussion you had today was terrific and very important. I really appreciate the fact that both of you spent some time at the end addressing what viruses depend upon for their existence. They say, though, that advice is best offered after it's asked for, and even though you haven't asked for it from me, I'll presume to offer it anyway.
Talk about what viruses are and what they depend upon to exist right from the start of every discussion you have with any and every audience. I've written about precisely that before and have been told that what I write is "too intellectual" or "too full of statistics." Those criticisms come from people like Bhatshittcharya and Memoryholeia (and their allies in this kakistocracy and media). They are complete bullshit, just like their "new playbook."
Keep up the good work. I know it can seem like you are bailing out the Orca in "Jaws" with a teaspoon, but my prescription is like a metaphorical rifle about to shoot a scuba tank in the mouth of the shark. Everyone cheers at the end of that film.
