Do Unvaccinated Kids Make You Horny?
Don't settle for being the scourge of CBER and the COVID ward at the children's hospital when you can also be the scourge of Hinge

This Thanksgiving did not stimulate much gratitude about the leadership at the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA), since late Friday night I received an alarming text from a friend and colleague informing me that more anti-vax clownery was on the way from our national drug regulatory agency. They had just learned that Center for Biologics Evaluation and Research (CBER) director Vinay Prasad issued a lengthy memo advising CBER staff that FDA Senior Advisor for Clinical Sciences Tracy Beth Høeg had resurfaced from a months-long evidence-manufacturing mission with the fantastic news that the COVID vaccine kills children. Conveniently, no actual data were provided to support or validate these claims, but who needs to bring evidence on Prasad’s path “to elevate vaccine science to 21st century evidence based medicine” when you can just pretend it into existence?
I immediately started clicking around the hellsite for news and saw that PBS NewsHour correspondent Ali Rogin reported that Høeg had found reports of COVID vaccines killing kids via the Vaccine Adverse Events Reporting System (VAERS). VAERS is a jointly run Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and FDA website that is designed to collect self-reported data on possible vaccine injuries. It is one of several mechanisms that CDC and FDA use to conduct surveillance for vaccine “safety signals,” or multiple reports of a possible adverse event related to vaccination. If a safety signal is detected, it normally triggers further investigation, including extremely detailed case studies and exhaustive searches of other data. My colleague’s response was “Are you fucking kidding me?”
It is important to note that reports in VAERS are not verified. People can report anything to VAERS, whether it is related to a vaccine or not. For this reason, anti-vaxxers love to mine VAERS data without following up to assess whether other information exists that might exclude vaccination as the cause of an adverse event. Prasad and Høeg are fully on board with this approach.
Prasad reportedly sent his COVID-vaccines-kill-kids memo to CBER employees, calling it a “profound revelation” and noting that “for the first time, the US FDA will acknowledge that COVID-19 vaccines have killed American children.” He claimed that Høeg found at least 10 kids in VAERS whose death she attributes to COVID vaccination. The evidence that these 10 deaths were caused by vaccines was not made available for verification, other than noting that Høeg found it in VAERS.
Prasad’s memo itself is a rambling, six-page manifesto that is simultaneously defiant, defensive, and obsequious. He spends paragraphs assuring everyone that Høeg’s analysis was great, actually, and everyone at FDA totally loves working with her even though some of her colleagues shit-talked her to the media. Prasad is very salty about FDA staff leaking stories of his and Høeg’s malicious ineptitude, and could have saved himself some time and space by just writing “STOP TALKING SHIT TO THE PRESS OR YOU’RE FIRED” instead of entire paragraphs whining about bad press. That’s probably why he also spends a lot of time exalting FDA Commissioner Marty Makary, who everyone loves because he’s the best, most safety- and science-minded commissioner ever. COVID vaccines are dangerous and deadly for kids, but there is not enough data in kids to even say whether or not COVID might be deadlier still. Biden’s FDA was not evidence-based and they would have ignored this important safety signal because they were vaccine-pushing public health tyrants who mandated masks, school closures, and clot shots. They also approved gene therapies that he absolutely hates! Prasad charts a path for CBER that involves new and impossible standards for clinical trial design and endpoints in future licensing applications, a rejiggering of the framework for approving annual flu shots, reassessment of combination vaccines, and no new vaccines for pregnant women. Finally, to all the people who have been leaking information about Prasad and Høeg’s incompetence, dishonesty, and lack of professional ethics to the press: get on board with a toxic leadership culture that is rigging government regulatory decisions about vaccines with no supporting evidence, transparency, or accountability, or resign.
Dumpster diving for death
Over the summer, Makary gave Høeg the assignment of finding evidence that COVID vaccines were very bad and, ideally, lethal. Høeg put on her selective VAERS cherry-picking hat and dug out as many dead kids as she could find in COVID vaccine reports, then managed to find at least 10 to pin lethal vaccine injury on. Although her earlier claims to have found 25 dead kids by dumpster diving in VAERS never came to fruition, this time she’s sure the vaccines killed these kids. Not sure enough to share her evidence for that right away, of course. I’m sure FDA will share the VAERS report accessions with the public any day now, so that we can see the deadly consequences of COVID vaccination for ourselves and confirm their findings.
Høeg, a sports medicine doctor with no expertise in vaccines, immunology, or infectious diseases, made a name for herself beginning in 2020 by churning out preprints that grossly overestimated the incidence of myocarditis in adolescent boys after COVID vaccination. In an interview from 2022, Høeg told Prasad that she found VAERS to be a highly reliable data source for overestimating vaccine adverse events. Of course, she left out the part about overestimating, claiming instead that “as you can see our estimates have not ended up being outliers. I think this speaks to the utility of the VAERS database for beginning to estimate rates of a condition.”
In reality, Høeg and colleagues estimated a rate of myocarditis in adolescent boys receiving the second dose of an mRNA vaccine to be more than twice the rate (162/million vaccines) calculated by an actually qualified team led by vaccine safety experts from CDC (71/million vaccines). Both studies used data from VAERS, although the CDC inclusion criteria were more stringent than Høeg’s, and thus more likely to exclude cases that were not relevant to assessing the risk of myocarditis from vaccination.
Prasad and Høeg also evidently ignored data showing that vaccine-induced myocarditis rates have declined further in the years since Høeg’s initial study, as well as data showing that the risk of myocarditis is much, much higher from COVID infection than vaccination. Regardless, Prasad was so impressed he later co-authored papers with Høeg, building on her overestimates and arguing speciously that vaccinating young adults was both dangerous and unethical. They have also co-authored papers arguing that COVID vaccine trials overestimate efficacy and underestimate safety risks due to what they call “healthy vaccinee bias,” which is the idea that healthy people are more likely to be vaccinated, hence every observational study about vaccines is impossibly confounded. This claim allows them to declare any vaccine study they don’t like to be useless for making evidence-based regulatory decisions.
Summary of grievances
This is the latest in a long series of Prasad’s offenses against vaccination. Prasad has been insufferable since long before he began his reign of terror at CBER, but his ascent to the heights of regulatory power at FDA has allowed him to fully blossom into workplace megalomaniacal dominance, like a corpse flower that unfurls its rank petals in all their noxious glory. Prasad’s condescending, malevolently energetic style is pitch-perfect for a self-important and unqualified senior-level lackey of Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy, Jr.
Prasad can heap suffering on CBER staff all he likes, but it always must be in the service of Kennedy’s MAHA agenda. What Kennedy asks, Prasad will deliver. He will overrule career agency scientists to delay vaccine licensure. He will force FDA scientists to withhold or hide data from public view or scrutiny, even when it was generated and analyzed by government employees with taxpayer funds. He will put his thumb on the scale of vaccine evaluations and call it Gold Standard.
My glee at Prasad’s July departure from CBER was misplaced, since he has actually made quite a lot of progress to sow regulatory chaos in his six months as the nation’s top vaccine regulator. Høeg has been at his side, diligently cooking up vaccine safety pretext by manipulating VAERS data to support Prasad’s efforts. Here is what they have accomplished thus far in their efforts to irreparably corrupt vaccine regulation:
May 2025: Prasad and Makary announce that new vaccines—including seasonally updated vaccines for viruses like flu and COVID—will be required to undergo large placebo-controlled randomized clinical trials. They also wrote a commentary in the New England Journal of Medicine espousing the usual Gold Standard bullshit to justify this completely unnecessary new regulatory framework.
June 2025: FDA requires COVID mRNA vaccine labels to expand on the risk of myocarditis, despite it being unclear that the risk was even statistically significant.
July 2025: Prasad resigned after being attacked by Laura Loomer and a Wall Street Journal editorial for his arbitrary regulation of a gene therapy drug he has not liked for some time. Public health enthusiasts rejoiced.
August 2025: Prasad returned. Alas.
August 2025: FDA approved COVID shots, but restricted them to people over the age of 65. It was later reported that this was based on Prasad overruling FDA scientists due to his invented concerns about long-term safety (over decades) and receiving multiple vaccinations (COVID and flu) at the same time.
August 2025: Prasad removes Richard Forshee, the career official responsible for vaccine safety and surveillance, and took over his role with Høeg.
September 2025: HHS planned to link 25 child deaths to COVID vaccines based on VAERS that would be announced imminently in September, so this could be considered at the upcoming ACIP meeting. Høeg was unable to persuade almost any agency scientists that she had sufficient evidence to justify a label change noting that the risks outweighed the benefits of COVID vaccines for boys and men ages 12-24. This effort was tabled.
October 2025: Prasad reportedly operates CBER with an iron fist in a work culture that is “rife with mistrust and paranoia,” forcing out dissenting FDA staff and compelling everyone else to flee for the exits.
October 2025: Prasad forced FDA scientists to withdraw a paper under review at Vaccine (the journal I am co-Editor-in-Chief of). I can’t disclose details about the manuscript under consideration, but the same analysis was also presented at a conference. It showed that, yep, COVID vaccines still provide benefits that outweigh the risks for all people ages 6 months-64 years old. I’m sure that conclusion had nothing to with Prasad ordering its withdrawal from publication in a journal called Vaccine.
November 2025: Inter-regulatory rivalry and mutual corruption end Center for Drug Evaluation and Research (CDER) Director George Tidmarsh’s regulatory career. Tidmarsh blames Prasad. In my opinion, it is very clear that Prasad is both a boss and a colleague from hell, at least if you aren’t one of his MAHA-pilled flunkies carrying out Kennedy’s orders.
November 2025: Prasad sent his lengthy memo on Black Friday and began the process of imposing Høeg’s unsupported child death claims on the entire nation
Does corrupting regulatory practice turn you on?
Today will go down in history, however, as my worst Prasad experience so far. Today a colleague sent me screenshots from a Facebook group for women to anonymously compare notes about cheating, dishonest, or abusive men who have done shitty things to them. It’s bad enough knowing that this guy is doing his best to withhold vaccines from as many people as possible, and that people will be injured or killed as a result. But now I am also deeply concerned for the young women of Hinge and Instagram who are reporting anonymously that a man they identify as Prasad is eagerly humping their digital legs in his quest to get some May-December side action on the apps. To quote Prasad, it was “a profound revelation” to learn that, according to multiple posts in this group, he is accused of making his mark as a married sex pest among online elder Gen Z women of the San Francisco Bay Area.

I have no way of verifying the accuracy of these posts, so they are about as reliable as VAERS. However, this does seem like a VAERS-like “safety signal” that may warrant further investigation. If enough anonymous women all report similar experiences with Prasad (for example, the allegations that he’s lying to women to coerce them into sex), then perhaps there is a pattern even if not every story can be verified. Based on the data in VPAERS (Vinay Prasad Adverse Event Reporting System, AKA this Are We Dating the Same Guy? Facebook group), there are several cases that sound like they meet a similar evidentiary standard as Høeg and Prasad’s claims about the 10 dead COVID vaccinated kids. It’s not proof of anything (and I make no claims about the accuracy of these allegations, I am merely reporting on their existence and my own opinion of them), but it’s enough to formulate a testable hypothesis.
It is not particularly surprising that Prasad is allegedly attempting to procure some much younger strange on the side. I don’t really care, as I am not only indifferent to Prasad’s adventures in app seduction, I am actively uninterested in his personal life altogether and aspire to be one of those women who allegedly didn’t pay him any attention at all. Prasad’s marital fidelity isn’t relevant to his professional qualifications (or lack thereof) but I do feel sorry for his wife beyond the basal level of pity for being married to a human cafeteria mop who won’t shut up about randomized placebo-controlled trials. I would be angry and embarrassed if my husband was a hot discussion topic among young women in support communities focused on dating awful men. I’d be especially pissed if it was publicly implied that he was compensating for a lifetime of lacking female attention by attempting to deceive hot women into sleeping with him.
Cosplaying as an in-demand dating app stud might imply performance anxiety or insecurity, but it doesn’t really say much about his performance as CBER head. I find it notable because these allegations of lying about himself and his intentions are consistent with his demonstrated behavior and actions at FDA, which I assess to be at the level of a particularly thirsty CHUD looking to ascend to higher nodes of power without leaving the servile contrarian sewer he calls home.
It’s Prasad’s business if he wants to allegedly continue disappointing the young women of the Bay Area and, presumably on occasion, Silver Spring, Maryland. However, it’s all of our business if he wants to lie and misrepresent his qualifications, intentions, and ethics when it comes to his responsibilities at CBER: objective, evidence-based, and transparent regulation of vaccines and gene therapy. The allegations about his (attempted?) conquests are no more supported than his claims about COVID vaccines killing children, yet one of these baseless theories will transform vaccine access for millions of Americans for the worse.
Prasad, Høeg, and Makary are not legally empowered to overhaul our established vaccine regulatory system. Prasad is deliberately obfuscating his own efforts to do so because he knows that what he is doing is wrong. He knows that it is ideological and not evidence-based. He is desperate to stop the media from accurately reporting on what CBER staff is concerned enough to keep leaking, despite Prasad’s threats to their jobs and livelihoods. That is because the leakers are right to be concerned and we all should be too.
Prasad is reaching for the power to deal a crippling blow to vaccine access. He is not entitled to this power. If he attains it, he will regulate vaccines into oblivion and this will directly result in sickness and death. The FDA is a broken agency, largely because Prasad’s corruption threatens to completely destroy established evidence-based regulatory processes and effective vaccine and drug regulation. If the FDA’s processes are further degraded, the US may not even have a functioning regulatory system. In this environment, our supply of medicines would no longer be reliably safe, unproven and untested supplements would be indistinguishable from rigorously tested drugs, and we would have no safety net to rely on to ensure that treatments actually work and won’t hurt or kill us. Prasad seeks the power to destroy. We cannot allow him to claim it.

Dr Rasmussen. Thank you for saying what should terrify anyone who cares about evidence based medicine.
The danger is not only that Vinay Prasad is wrong. Many people are wrong. The danger is that he appears willing to elevate unverified signals to the level of scientific proof, dismiss contradictory data, and then reshape national vaccine policy around that abandonment of method and rigor. When leadership at CBER treats VAERS entries as causal rather than hypothetical, we are no longer evaluating evidence. We are manufacturing it.
My concern with Prasad is not simply that he holds contrarian views. It is that his pattern of behavior suggests a willingness to distort the evidentiary foundation of public health to serve a predetermined conclusion. That is not skepticism. It is ideology wrapped in the language of science.
A person who ignores adjudicated surveillance systems, sidelines qualified scientists, suppresses unwelcome data, and attempts to regulate vaccines by narrative rather than outcome is in a position to cause profound and measurable harm. If that behavior originates from ego, ambition, resentment, insecurity, or the thrill of contrarian notoriety, it only makes the threat greater. A regulator who seeks attention more than truth becomes a risk multiplier.
This is how trust erodes. This is how preventable deaths return.
Science survives disagreement. It cannot survive the abandonment of standards.
You are right to call this out.
The public deserves leadership that values truth more than self image.
The FDA must not become a stage for performance when lives depend on evidence.
Prasad is not just misguided. In my view he represents ongoing danger to public health because he attacks the core of how we determine what is safe, what is real, and what is true.
It’s important to note that during the pandemic, the CDC issued instructions to health carers to report *every death* to VAERS that they were aware of where there was prior vaccination, even if the vaccine was not felt to be related.
This led to a large number of entirely specious deaths being notified to them.
Careful scrutiny is needed to determine if the vaccine may have been causal…a measure of reason outside the scope of these antivax idiots.
