very thorough and a comprehensive indictment of the attempts of Bobby to throw shade on the whole vaccine enterprise by undermining confidence in aluminum-adjuvanted products (that are absolutely safe) and the scientific tools used to evaluate data

Thank you, Dr. Rasmussen.

If it were practical, I'd already have a subscription, and I thank you for allowing posting. This is SO crucially important, yet I've only encountered it here.

How bizarre is it that it may be the welfare of children that will bring Trump down(Epstein), after such horrors as eliminating childhood vaccinations helped to take him to the top of the garbage heap known as the GOP?

If the GOP ever had any interest in the meaning of "irony", this would be a GREAT time to learn...

All my posts are public so if cost is an issue, please do feel free to subscribe for free! Paid subscriptions are purely voluntary for readers who want to support my lab: 75% of subscription costs go to supporting my trainees. One of my students was able to attend a conference because of reader generosity! But I strongly believe that everyone should be able to access information so everyone is welcome to subscribe and comment.

Thank you, Dr. Rasmussen.

You are an inspiration in so many ways.

The veracity of what you write is supported by the fact that "anti-vaccine central" has sent the troops out en masse to deliver an identical message as the Secretary, apparently hoping that no one realizes these are "talking points," not science. Lawyers, Madonna Mia! Trained to convince juries by lying. This study also now includes two formal requests for retraction, one from Sec. Kennedy, and one from a physician who claims, "No affiliation, just committed to honesty and high quality in science and publications." While he lists "Sloppy Data Revision, Misleading Statements, Invalid Conclusions, Damage of Public Trust" as reasons for his request - which ironically enough are equally applicable to the statement of Sec. Kennedy - though he seems to have missed "Chewing Gum in Class." All foolishness aside, I strongly suspect that these responses appear to predict the ASD/Vaccine findings that are scheduled for the Fall, and stand to be a major, unexpected disruption. Were their release strategically motivated? In these times of "fighting fire with fire," it is possible, but well deserved. A fine survey of the facts.

RFKjr is not just a liar, he's a goddamned baldfaced lying sonofabitch. In my opinion. As I have written about with receipts on more than one occasion since, oh, about 2009.

The best thing about Hviid's courteous rebuttal was when he pointed out that Peter Aaby, who Bobby Brainworm has praised for years, "has also been funded by the Novo Nordisk Foundation, has received the Novo Nordisk prize and was employed at SSI for many years." <mic drop>

(FWIW I also posted an unkind note about this latest RFKjr kerfuffle a day ago https://substack.com/@johnmkelly/note/c-141842206)

RFKjr wants to claim that everybody is in pharma's pocket and in on the big aluminum scam, media included. Yeah, right. There's only a couple of credible journalists who come to mind that I've ever seen writing about aluminum in vaccines. It's not a topic of national interest. But Bobby and his lawyer buddies are certainly interested.

I don't believe that Bobby will succeed in "banning" aluminum in vaccines. If he tries to carry this further he's going to end up in court as a defendant for the rest of his life.

But let's say Donny Convict does yet another stupid thing and writes an EO banning aluminum in vaccines. He's eventually going to be gone, maybe sooner than he thinks. We're going to put rational, less corrupt people in office, and they are going to purge HHS of all the idiots Donny Convict and RFKjr have polluted our national healthcare infrastructure with.

Really enjoying your take downs of these bad actors at HHS. You do such an excellent job of keeping the science rigorous while not letting any “norms” stop you from speaking the truth.

Dr. Rasmussen you're a treasure! I'm so grateful for your factual articles. I have to say, I'm liking the little bit of sarcasm concerning the current quack health secretary.

RFKJ's cousin begged the senate not to confirm him because he's dangerous and unstable!

My biggest issue with the Danish study is the low observed prevalence of autism. It's almost an order of magnitude lower than in the US. Either they're diagnosing something different than what we're debating in the US, or their population is nothing like ours. Either way, the study would be of low relevance to Americans.

This wasn't one of Kennedy's issues, but it has been raised to the authors. Dr. Hviid simply says the study wasn't designed to quantify prevalence and he admits diagnostic criteria my vary. OK, but it does in fact quantify prevalence for the non-excluded population with a very powerful sample size he's super proud of. If that's not prevalence for the total population, then the exclusions have ruined the study. Or if diagnostic criteria are order of magnitude different, then what effects are we even talking about?

I did recently shared a thought from William G. Wilkoff, MD that perhaps that is the case. However, I am not qualified to pass judgement. Of course, this is a perspective piece and debatable. https://www.medscape.com/viewarticle/autism-surge-where-broadened-diagnosis-went-astray-2025a1000j5l

I do believe you may have a point in that DSM-V is rarely use outside the

US. Still, is it statistically significant? https://www.psychiatrictimes.com/view/international-reaction-dsm-5

Still, aluminum is the most abundant metallic element in the Earth's crust and exposure to it far outweighs any received in vaccines. Besides, healthy kidneys efficiently remove aluminum and normal exposure to aluminum does not pose a significant risk for accumulation in healthy individuals https://emedicine.medscape.com/article/165315-overview?form=fpf
